A Series of Innovative Skill based Training on ‘Triggering Biostatistics for     Research Evidence: Statistical Computing Using SPSS’ through Virtual Mode

 

Purpose:  The course is intended to introduce health researchers with a comprehensive foundation to allow them to get started with practical statistics using SPSS to effectively manage statistical analysis for health data.  This workshop will be interactive, hands on and will provide exercises and materials for Basic Biostatistics.

Learning Methods:  The learning methods includes the lectures on technical inputs, creating statistics for practical data set and familiarize SPSS tools for data analysis and presentation of data through hands on training

Survival Analysis: Basic Concepts of Survival Analysis, Censoring and its types, Hazard rate and Hazard Ratio, the Kaplan-Meier plot, Test for comparing the survival Analysis, Proportionality Assumption and Cox Proportional Hazard Model

 Who can Apply:  The series of workshops enables the Research Scholars, PG Students and those who are involved in research in Medical /Paramedical subjects to understand the basic concepts of Biostatistics. This course also provides example data sets that will be analysed using SPSS software. The participants could download the latest SPSS Trial version on their desktop / laptops. This Series will be using Google Meet platform for all the sessions.
